YES! The answer is always yes! I work with women of every single shape, size, color, in every season of life and at every level of fitness. Get rid of the idea that you need to fit into that high school dress size to be “ready” to have beautiful photos of yourself. You are a woman, and our bodies are made to weather so many changes in life… You owe it to yourself to feel fiercely empowered and pampered for a day. My favorite aspect of boudoir is that “That’s ME?!” reaction when a client first sees herself from my perspective.

Literally anything that makes you feel GOOD! Some clients wear the slinkiest of negligees and barely-there lingerie pieces, while others feel more confident in a bodysuit or a casual Calvin-esque lounge set. Some mamas opt for total or implied nudity. There is no right or wrong answer, here! If you feel your best, you look your best. Confidence is the sexiest thing you can put on. And if you don’t wake up with a hearty dose on your shoot day, we will fake it!

My premier boudoir package does include professional hair or makeup services, with discounted add-on rates, but you’re of course welcome to do your own! I always suggest the polar opposite rule. Go more natural than pageant with hair, and go more pageant than natural with makeup. A beachy, tousled hair look always photographs well and a more dramatic, almost “stage” makeup look generally photographs a little better. But again, revert back to that cardinal rule: If it makes you FEEL good, it will look good.

Boudoir is an investment! A worthwhile one, but an investment, nonetheless. It is one of the most important factors when scheduling that every client be able to attain beautiful photos without going into debt to do so. Affordability is a top priority of mine. All boudoir clients are required to pay a non-refundable retainer fee upon booking, which reserves your session time. Remaining balance is due anytime on or before session date. Payment arrangements may also be made for all sessions, pending signed contract.

Relax and STRETCH. Stretch. It. Out! And drink your water in the 24-48 hours leading up to your session. Almost every client I’ve ever worked with has laughed at me when I told them they may be sore, and all of them follow up with a text the following day saying “Holy shit, you were right!” Boudoir sessions can create anxiety at first, which your body holds onto and once things get going, it’s a whole ass full body workout. So stretch!
